“Third Annual ISSP Think Tank” and “II USJT International Symposium on Sport Psychology”

From September 22 to 26, 2020, the São Judas University, based in São Paulo - Brazil, will host two important events of World Sport Psychology that will bring as its central theme: “The Coach in Focus”.

This event is the first round of the “Third Annual ISSP Think Tank”, a closed event for representatives of the International Society of Sport Psychology (ISSP) and representatives of Teaching and Research Institutions of major Brazilian universities and key sport organizations focused on high performance sport (the Brazilian Olympic and Paralympic Committees). Over two days, a wide discussion will focus on the Mental Health of High Performance Trainers, from which an International Consensus on the subject will be formulated.

The second event will be the “Second International Symposium on Sport Psychology at USJT and “Third International Meeting on Sport Psychology and Physical Activity”, a traditional South American event in Sport Psychology and Physical Activity, organized biennially by the São Judas University. The focus of discussions will surround the psychological aspects experienced by coaches from diverse sport and exercise contexts.

Both events will be attended by important names in Sport and exercise Psychology, including Dr. Robert Schinke (President of ISSP and Canada Research Chair in Multicultural Sport and Physical Activity), Dr. Kristoffer Henriksen (ISSP and University of Southern Denmark), Dr. Lauren Loberg (ISSP), Dr. Franco Noce (ISSP and UFMG), representatives of the Brazilian Association of Studies in Sport and Exercise Psychology (ABEPEEx) and several Brazilian Sport Psychology key stakeholders.
